We're located in the Kawartha Lakes in Norland, Ontario on Hwy 35 just north of Coboconk. Ridgeview Retreat is on a peninsula between the Gull River and the north end of Shadow Lake, facing south down the lake. The public boat launch is nearby on the Gull River. Ridgeview Retreat is a short walk into Norland for ice cream or groceries.
Ridgeview Retreat is a classic lakefront cottage built in1920. It has been updated to retain the charm while adding modern amenities (like indoor plumbing and screened windows). Air conditioning is seldom required due to the design and location of the cottage on a ridge between the Gull River and Shadow Lake.

Enjoy clear water, weed-free, walk-in access to the lake, a sand beach and the boathouse. Get in the canoe and explore. Splash about in the lake. Lie on the dock. Build sandcastles. Go for a walk. You may catch a glimpse of a rare bird.
The public dock is nearby on Gull River. It has a concrete ramp into the water and a fixed dock with a floating section to accommodate varying water levels. Your dog may help guide your boat down the river past 3 large bays, to the lake.
